Quick answer
Shoe sizes convert between four systems: US, UK, EU and Japanese (CM). A men's US 10 is a UK 9.5, an EU 43 and a Japanese 28 cm. Women's sizing runs about 1 size above men's for the same foot length, and the Japanese scale is the only one tied directly to foot length in centimetres.

About the Shoe Size Converter
Shoe sizes use four major standards: US, UK, EU and Japanese (CM). A US men's 10 is a UK 9.5, an EU 43 and a Japanese 28 cm. Women's sizing runs about 1 size larger (numerically) than men's for the same foot length (a women's US 8 and a men's US 7 both correspond to a 25 cm foot), and kids' sizes use their own combined Children/Youth (C/Y) scale.
This converter shows complete tables for men's, women's and kids' shoes across all four standards. Half sizes are included throughout the men's and women's ranges.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find my shoe size accurately?
⌄
Measure your foot length in centimetres from heel to longest toe, then look up the Japanese (CM) column, as Japan sizes are the most directly tied to foot length. Add about 0.5–1 cm of wiggle room.
Are men's and women's shoe sizes the same?
⌄
No. A women's US 8 is the same length as a men's US 7 (both 25 cm). The two scales are offset by about 1 size.
Why are EU sizes sometimes shown as a range?
⌄
EU shoe sizing uses Paris points, which don't line up perfectly with US half sizes. Some manufacturers round, others list a range. Try both numbers if you can.
How do kids' shoe sizes work?
⌄
In the US, sizes with C (children) run from infant to about age 6, and Y (youth) from about age 6 to early teens. The European 20–35 range covers the same span continuously.
